The AR1200/AR1000/AR1010 is a highly intergarted CMOS FM chip. With in-house digital architecture and state-of-the-art RF technology, only three external components are required and takes less than 20 mm² of board space. Beside, AR1200's size is only 3mm x 3mm that will fit into any space-critical portable devices.

Most important of all, Airoha's FM chips consumes the lowest power among all FM chips. AR1000/AR1010 consumes only 13 mA during operation, while AR1200 consumes only 11 mA, which is only half of competitor's chips. This gives your portable devices longest battery life. Besides, the sensitivity performance of AR1200/AR1000/AR1010 are also the best, so they provide the best sound quality even under weak FM signal.

The AR1200 and AR1000 support European Radio Data System (RDS) and USA Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS), including all required symbol decoding, block synchronization, error detection, and error correction functions, to enables data display (such as station identification and song name) and real-time traffic indication and navigation (i.e., TMC).
