AL7230

The World's First and Only 802.11a/b/g RF IC With Embedded Dual-band PA 

With the lowest BOM cost, the AL7230 provides an outstanding benchmark in 802.11a/b/g WLAN transceiver with a combination of the most cost-effective solution, the smallest solution area and the most reliable technique.

Only few IEEE 802.11 a/b/g dual-band RF chips available, but none of them can be called “single chip” as external Power Amplifiers (PA) are still needed for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band. Airoha, who made the world's first IEEE 802.11 b/g RF IC with embedded PA, now once again delivers the world's FIRST and ONLY IEEE 802.11 a/b/g RF IC with embedded dual-band PA.

Leveraging Airoha's high-integrated technology, the AL7230 reduces around 70 components and saves more than 70% BOM cost and nearly 50% PCB space compared with other solutions.

Not only cost and space, the AL7230 saves time and energy. With Airoha's patented “automatic I/Q Imbalance Calibration” mechanism, the production speed could be dramatically increased by reducing the calibration procedure. The AL7230 also features with multi-state power saving modes letting baseband chip to control the state to get the best performance with the lowest power consumption, which could be as low as only 5uA.

The AL7230 is the best RF solution ever made as it's the first and only RF transceiver with embedded dual-band PA and provides all the benefits simultaneously.
